Man City vs Crystal Palace Highlights

Norwegian striker Erling Haaland played a major role in an exciting remontada that his team Manchester City achieved, against its guest Crystal Palace, 4-2, in the fourth round of the English Premier League.

Crystal Palace advanced with two goals in the first half, scored by John Stones by mistake and Joachim Anderson in the 4th and 21st minutes.

City responded with a four in the second half, scored by Bernardo Silva and Erling Haaland, \”a hat-trick\” in the 53rd, 62nd, 70th, and 81st minutes.

The defending champion raised his score to 10 points in the lead, while his guest\’s balance froze at 4 points in the thirteenth place.

Pep Guardiola and his players received an early shock with two goals, as a result of the confusion in positioning with a corner kick and then a free kick, which the guests took advantage of, and scored twice.

The City players were confused, so they played hastily and recklessly to narrow the difference, and they lacked focus in the final touch during more than one attempt by Foden, Halland, De Bruyne, and Riyad Mahrez.

Despite the modest performance of City in the first half, Guardiola kept the same basic formation, pressed his opponent with full force, and succeeded in reducing the difference with a goal scored by Bernardo Silva from an individual effort.

Haaland hat trick

After a quarter of an hour, Guardiola changed his thinking and tactics and revived the front lines by involving Gundogan and Julian Alvarez in the place of Cancelo and Riyad Mahrez.

Manchester City continued their strong pressure, while Haaland grabbed the spotlight from everyone, scoring the equalizer with a header taking advantage of a cross from Foden.

A city surrounded Crystal Palace with a corner kick, which ended with Haaland\’s third goal after following up on a ball from John Stones.

Haaland completed the hat-trick after a perfect pass from Gundogan, to leave the young Norwegian striker and take his place, Sergio Gomez, while Cole Palmer replaced De Bruyne.

On the other hand, Crystal Palace coach Patrick Vieira completely lost control of his players and did not benefit from 4 substitutions or attacking axes: Odson Edward, Jordan Ayew, and Izzy.
