Roma snatched a precious victory from its host Empoli, 2-1, today, Monday, at the end of the sixth round of the Italian Football League.

The first half ended with a 1-1 tie, as Argentine Paulo Dybala opened the scoring for Roma in the 17th minute, then Filippo Bandinelli equalized for Empoli in the 43rd minute.

In the second half, young Englishman Tammy Abraham scored the winning goal for Roma in the 71st minute, and nine minutes later, his colleague Lorenzo Pellegrini missed a penalty kick for the visiting team.

Empoli finished the match with ten men, by sending off Jean-Louis Akba Akbaru in the 87th minute.

Roma scored its fourth win this season against one loss and one draw, to raise its score to 13 points and advance to fifth place, while Empoli\’s balance stopped at 4 points in 16th place.
