Sofiane Amrabat’s Decline in Performance Criticized at Fiorentina

Midfielder Sofiane Amrabat has received many criticisms accusing him of falling behind with Fiorentina, despite his brilliance with Morocco in the World Cup in Qatar.

Fiorentina lost its last two Serie A matches against Turin and Roma.

Gazzetta Dello Sport gave Amrabat 4.5 degrees in its evaluation of the players participating in the Fiorentina-Turin match.

The newspaper wrote in its commentary: “Amrabat cannot be compared to his level in the World Cup, and he did not last until the end of the match, and coach Vincenzo Italiano replaced him in the 54th minute.”

The club’s owner, Rocco Comiso, refused to dispense with the services of Amrabat after his brilliance in the World Cup after he became the focus of attention of many European teams.

Diego Simeone, coach of Atletico Madrid, is still asking to include the Moroccan player, as well as Liverpool, led by coach Jurgen Klopp.

However, if the player’s performance continues to decline, Fiorentina may resort to dispensing him in the summer of 2023, when there is a season left until the end of his contract with Viola, especially after his market value increased from 10 to 25 million euros.

Amrabat had started his career in the Dutch ranks of Utrecht, and from there he moved to Feyenoord, then Club Brugge, and played on loan in Hellas Verona.
