A surprising decision by Leeds United regarding the Onahi deal

Leeds United club made a surprising decision to sign Moroccan Ezzedine Onahi, the Angers midfielder, during the current winter Mercato.

According to the British newspaper “Daily Mail”, Leeds United decided to suddenly freeze the negotiations in the Onahi deal, and the administration is focusing on assessing the position of coach Jesse Marsh, due to the recent decline in the team’s results.

Several fans have called for Marsh to be sacked from his post, following Friday’s defeat by Aston Villa.

It is noteworthy that the Moroccan player is also on the list of interests of Leicester City and Napoli during the current winter Mercato.

After the 2022 World Cup, Onahi was associated with moving to several major clubs, after his brilliance in the Atlas Lions shirt and leading Morocco to the semi-finals.
