1. Tourism in Croatia in the summer

The summer times are sweltering in Croatia in August when temperatures can soar up to 28°C – so of course, the likes of Dubrovnik, Split, Hvar, and other classic destinations will be filled with visitors who take advantage of the sun.

If you want to enjoy the sparkling weather in Croatia without the crowds, head to the island of Mamma Mia in Vis. Or, to get a feel of the city, discover the attractions, amazing things, and places to do in Sibenik or Rovinj. But hurry up just follow the tourist site and learn about the world around you.

During your tour do not hesitate to visit Plitvice and Krka and head to one of the six least visited national parks in Croatia. The Kornati can be difficult to visit, but it is ideal for true explorers. With a high of 29 degrees Celsius in August, summer is the perfect time to explore the wonderful cave areas in the sun and enjoy the natural beauty of Pollino National Park, the largest park in Italy there you can sample the authentic cuisine of the region. And if you want to experience a longer trip, rent a car and head towards Pompeii, Sorrento, or in the opposite direction to the Bari coast.

3. Medellin, Colombia

August in Colombia, in terms of weather, is a bit nasty and surprising. Whether you\’ll get sunshine or a shower during your trip depends on the region you\’re visiting, whether you\’re after a wildlife adventure in the Amazon or some time in the city.

One thing Medellin has in August that offsets – at times – its overcast appearance? The wonderful 10-day celebration of nature is known as the Feria de Flores (Flower Festivals).

6. Guyana and Guyana

The smallest wonders of South America, Guyana, French Guiana, and Suriname are top attractions for visitors at the end of August. It\’s the perfect time to see the breathtaking Kaieteur Falls in Guyana follow in the footsteps of Papillon in French Guiana and savor the delicious rum of Suriname.

First, the weather is always warm, but it is a dry season on the Guyanan coast during August and French Guiana tends to be drier and warmer in August – as does Suriname.

All three countries are sandwiched between Venezuela and Brazil, so we say you should lengthen your trip and visit all three countries simultaneously. At least you\’ll have the benefit of staying as far away from the South American crowds as possible.

7- Mongolia and the best places to travel

You really can\’t go wrong with Mongolia at this time of year. Expect vibrant steppes rich in shades of green during August and just right temperatures between 20°C and 25°C.

If you head into the mountains, you\’ll probably find that they\’re a bit cooler than anywhere else – arguably better conditions for long trips, which won\’t require sweating in the heat. Wilderness camping and biking are other must-do activities in August – as is the Gobi Desert in the south.

The summer season is a good opportunity to visit Khövsgöl Lake in northern Mongolia, near the Russian border. The country\’s largest and most beautiful freshwater lake sparkles in the sunlight and seems to stretch for miles to the end.

8. Northern Kyrgyzstan

August comes hard in the middle of Kyrgyzstan\’s high season (May to October), so certain areas will be packed with visitors and locals (here you see, Issyk Kul Lake).

However, it is time for the epic treks offered by Central Tian Shan (\”Heavenly Mountains\” in Chinese). The highest peak is 7,439 meters, so this is not an unofficial climb. You will need to be an experienced walker and have a high level of fitness to get the most out of it.

9. Jodhpur, India

In the blue city of Jodhpur, Rajasthan, a seemingly endless maze of blue houses, winding alleys, and colorful doors awaits.

Of course, there is much more than that. You will witness history and art in the famous 15th-century Mehrangarh Fort. Consider the ornate decoration of Jaswant Thada. Get out into nature at the gorgeous Mandore Sculpture Park, embark on water activities at Lake Kaylana, or picnic on 12th-century Lake Balsamand.

Visit in August especially as the weather is likely (lows at 26°C and 34°C) and a good chance you will find some smart accommodation deals. August is off-season, so while you won\’t find yourself a lone visitor on any of the trips I\’ve mentioned, you\’ll likely encounter a bit of the usual bustle.

10. Langkawi, Malaysia

There is so much to explore in Malaysia and it\’s almost unfair to highlight the Langkawi archipelago. Although we assume that with more time, there is nothing to stop you from moving further.

But with just-appropriate warm temperatures (often between 28°C and 31°C) and incredible natural beauty, impressive cable cars, plentiful boat trips, and extraordinary wildlife vistas are practically guaranteed – it\’s a versatile appeal for a sunny vacation without the \’packed vacation\’ feel.
